Today’s blog post is in conjuncture with a project that Garden Writers Today has put together. The project is a good one; to determine what readers want. Via readers! Who are the readers of the Garden Writers Today? Well, hopefully you’re able to deduct that gardens writers are one. The other major audience is garden photographers. Both of these skills are something I aspire to improve in myself. So I’m excited about this site and the potential new offerings that will become available.

In their online study, Garden Writers Today! specifically want to make sure that they add information, resources, news, community features and other benefits that are TRUE benefits to writers and photographers in the field. How cool is that?

It’s all about support. Which I know I personally need as I wade through the unknown waters of garden writing and with my experiential learning in photography. Below is a short list of items that I think I would find useful as a new (and sometimes clueless) student of the above ‘arts’.

- photography tutorials with images of what to do and what not to do
- hot topics in the writing world
- bio’s of currently active professional writers and the opportunity to connect with them
- opportunities for students to submit different writing pieces (blog entries, publication articles, etc)
- critical article reviews (have an editor point out strengths and weaknesses in written pieces)

What about YOU? You can list ideas in the comments section on my blog or go directly to the Garden Writers Today! site to add your thoughts there. It’s all connected and your thoughts will be heard!
